BRUISED DOLL: LIVING WITH UNDIAGNOSED BODY DYSMORPHIC DISORDER

My memoir evolved from THE GIRL WITH THE BLACK AND BLUE—a coming-of-age book about my childhood depression—to its new title after I recognized my own Body Dysmorphic Disorder after reading an article about it online. I immediately changed the focus of THE GIRL to a volume educating the reader about BDD through my experience growing up with BDD, surviving, and finally, thriving.
